An AP wrist plain film, a space is seen between the Scaphoid and the lunate , where ordinarily they are closely apposed.
This is abnormal which means that the scapholunate ligament is ruptured. This is diagnostic of a rotatory subluxation of the navicular.
This has been called the Terry Thomas sign after a famous British actor (1950s) who had a gap between his two front teeth !!

Thank you very much dear Dr Niknejad for this presentation, and very pleased by seeing TERRY THOMAS himself. I remember the doubler replacing him in a Farsi version of the one of his films, was speaking exactly by his special way the S because of distance between the lunate and navicular.or scaphoid. Thanks a lot for the reference where some American Similarities forced me to write this article.
