Fast Facts:
True neoplasm.
10-15% of ovarian teratoma is bilateral.
Mature teratoma usually has large cystic element and mature fetal tissues.
≤ 4% malignant transformation.
Usually into SCC.
Radiation may increase incidence of malignant transformation.
Should be differentiated from dermoid which is inclusion cyst rather than true neoplasm.
