Teaching File - Scrofula II: The Reactivation

For those of you who caught Scrofula, here’s the sequel you’ve been waiting for. This case is also pathology-proven Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection, and if you click on the image you’ll see evidence of active pulmonary infection too…tree-in-bud. In case you need further background, don’t forget to view the prequel tuberculous cervical lymphadenopathy. And of course there’s the spinoffs - Pott’s disease and mediastinal tuberculous abscess.
