Dear Dr Mirchi,
Morrison's pouch is very close to the duodenal bulb and gastric antrum, liberated air from a rupture stands in the space, this is the status we call trapped air, in pneumoperitoneum. Moreover the radiography is taken in upright position. Notice the fluid level of the stomach. Thanx for comment.

morrison is the most dependent part of abdominal spaces in supine patientfor free fluid, but how air can entrap there?
