Normal Frontal Chest X-Ray, Pulmonary Anatomy: Many pulmonary conditions can be diagnosed by chest radiographs. On a PA chest radiograph, look at the heart and mediastinum shadows (including the aortic arch and trachea), the contour of the diaphragm, lung parenchyma with vascular markings, and lung pleura (see image below).
