FINDINGS

* decreased radius length
* distal radial bowing
* distal radioulnar joint dislocation
* wedge shaped carpals
* ulna typically unaffected

1. Bilateral in 50-60% of cases.
2. Decreased carpal angle below 118 degree [normal from 118 to 149 degree].
3. Herniation of proximal carpal row of bones = V-shaped carpal row.
4. Associated with mesomelic dwarfism in Madelun's dyschondrosteosis with lost fragment of proximal radius.
5. Madelun's dyschondrosteosis is bilateral overwhelmingly in females with short stature and family history of short stature.
