Feline esophagus is a common finding in peptic esophagitis caused by GE reflux, but in colon it is a rarity. this one was noticed during a volvulus of the other part of the colon. Terminology is taken from the similarity which exists between cat's (felix) esophagus and ripples caused by contraction of musularis mucosa.
