Dear Dr ABD ELLATIF AHMED, in omphalocele the point of insertion of the umbilical chord is on the top of the physiological hernia, but in gastroschisis it stands at the periphery of the prominent bulging. Hope the answer is satisfactory for you. A case of omphalocele is uploaded to show the difference. Thanks for comment.

-SOFT TISSUE OPACITY,,ROUND IN SHAPE,PLULGING FROM ANTERIOR ABDOMINAL WALL,AT LEVEL OF UMBILICUS,,MOST PROPABLY IS OMPHALOCELE??NEED MORE ASSESS BY US TO SEE ITS CONTENT.
