Findings include osteocartilaginous nodules within the submucosa of trachea - arises from the cartilage (anterior) component of the trachea, not the posterior membrane
Differential diagnosis of multiple tracheal polypoid lesions:
-relapsing polychondritis
-metastatic disease
Single lesions:
- mucoepidermoid
- adenoid cystic carcinoma
- squamous cell carcinoma
- carcinoid
- hamartoma
