Hypervascular Metastasis

There is an osteoblastic ’sunburst’ periosteal reaction and bony destruction of the 2nd metatarsal midshaft. These appearances are typically seen in hypervascular metastasis. The primary malignancy is often renal, thyroid and rarely lung. Considering the location, the distal appendicular skeleton metastasis are often seen in advanced lung Ca. This was a metastatic small cell malignancy of lung.
