Teaching File: Anterior Mediastinal Lymphoma Mass

This was a young patient presenting with mild shortness of breath. The chest radiograph shows a fairly well defined, homogenous opacity on the right side silhouetting the right heart border. This is suggestive of anterior mediastinal mass. In a young patient, the possible differential includes:
1. Teratoma
2. Thymic tumour
3. Lymphoma
On axial CT scan, the anterior mediastinal mass if confirmed. There are few necrotic islands noted within this mass. This was confirmed to be a lymphoma post-biopsy.
