You are right, but once there was no sonography we used to do herniography. This is an old souvenir!

but sonography can not show femoral hernias as nice as this,it is very fantastic image!

Dear Rox thank you. As you may know in old times when we didn't have sonography pritoneography or herniography was the sole means to discover non-palpable hernias. This was put here just to remind every one how technological progress has made our science!
