Yes Wael, this 15 yr old male came in with sever abdominal distension in a moribund state.Linitis and ascitis were obvious on USG and CT. No nodes and that ? peritoneal deposit were in addition. Extranodal NHL was first on my mind. TB one cant afford to forget. AdenoCa, I thought he was young...but possible! Your mnemonic is great!
Nice case.
In case of gastric carcinoma [mostly adenocarcinoma] omental caking is usually seen. With excess mucin production pseudomyxoma peritonei is seen; in which case bowel loops are fixed and not displaced anteriorly as is the present case.
Gastric lymphoma is one of causes of linitis plastica.
Mnemonic for linitis plastica is PLASTICA:
P = pancreatitis
L = lymphoma.
A = amyloid.
S = syphilis
T = TB
I = infection and inflammatory bowel disease
CA = Cancer = gastric carcinoma.
