Good capturing !.I have seen round worms wriggling inside gall bladder lumen.By the time I could call my colleagues it entered the duodenum.

I see a linear filling defect with in the small intestine This could be intestinal parasite.

I see a few Ascaris (round) worms on abdominal CT scans. I would have guessed that in this case. Haven't seen a tape worm though. Like Amit says, I have also seen round worms in the biliary duct and gall bladder on ultrasound.

we used to see a lot in India - Moving Ascarises In the Biliary duct on USG.

Thanks!! I actually saw one a few years ago but your history helped :) I always think of parasites when I hear of exotic locations--and then when I saw the filling defect, I really wanted it to be a worm! Now I have seen two! Thanks for the case Michele.

CONGRATULATIONS !! It was a tapeworm infection (Taenia solium) !! Indeed the clinicians suspected abdominal lymphoma due to alteration of lymphocites levels; however stool analysis confirmed our suspects...It was the second (and last) case I have ever seen. Have you seen many intestinal parasites on CT scan ?
