Rat-tail appearance is much thinner than this one and morover has a bit longer norrowing. I think the term bird-beak, as you mentioned before, is more suitable. Thanx for comment.

Tapering of the lower end, as you noticed, is pathognomonic of the achalasia because of the hyperplastic circular muscles in this erea. Thanx for comment.

This is an old film and unfortunately chest fil is not available. The aim was to show that Ca is almost always above the cardia and never in it!
