MRI-brain, axial reconstruction. Patient complaints: partial loss of hearing in left ear, ringing in left ear, slight numbness on left side of the face around the ear and onto forehead. No severe headaches, no discharge from the ear.

What is your diagnosis?

The Dx is still open. Local guys cant figure it out:-) The post gad sequence doesnt show anything in this region either. Local Rads say the vessels are all fine too.

Hmm, not sure but it seems that there is a low signal intensity region there... the symptoms suggest a number of things... perhaps a middle ear cavity mass or process. Low signal = flow void making me think of aberrant carotid artery. (A shot in the dark) :)
