Bob the images that you commented are MIP recostruction from the axial images that were not recostructed with overlapping slices. If you look to the axial images you will see that there are not significant respiratory and motion artefacts.

If you cardiac gate during a AAA CT case you'll have much better images. Plus, if the patient is intubated hold respiration while imaging. Ah,,, in a perfect world.

Is it a rupture of the oartic ligament with pseudoaneurysm ?
