About Radiology Art

Dedicated to the deeper visualization of various objects that hold unique cultural importance in modern society, this project intends to plant a seed of scientific creativity in the minds of all those inclined to participate. Submit your own radiological art to share for mutual inspiration and fun. New work will be added regularly so stay tuned!

Submit your own radiological art for review. Simply email a small image no larger than 500 pixels on a side to images@radiologyart.com for approval.

David Maisel is an artist who ran across radiographs of art works from antiquity that were created to document the Getty Museum's collection. See his re-photographed work here

Tomas Egger of AD Studio in Brazil made this music video featuring lots of very nice radiology-based imagery. He used a special character animation software featured in Electric Image (a high-end texturing and animation package for the Mac). It's not clear how much actual radiation was used to make this video. Click the image below and enjoy!

This work is by Laura Splan. She creates work in many media that are all inspired by science and medicine. Check out her web site www.laurasplan.com
