Hello all, I thought I would start the ball rolling by asking the following questions:

a) has anyone seen the vestibular ganglion in clinical MR studies?
b) how far into the internal acoustic meatus is it?

Cheers Frank

I guess I should clarify the questions point a little.

as the superior and inferior division (as well as the nerve from the posterior semicircular canal) are said to extend between the vestibular apparatus and the vestibular ganglion, how far medially can one see the superior and inferior division?

ok... have done a bit more reading an looking at high res scans (here)

Still don't have an answer, but as far as I can tell where the Sup and Inf division come off is variable, and in fact the ganglion may be split between the two (three) branches.
