Arranging housing in an unfamiliar area can be difficult; however, there are accommodations available in private homes located near the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) campus, as well as hotels and apartments in nearby Silver Spring. (Consultation with a fellow resident who has attended the course is recommended.)

A list of temporary rooms for rent compiled by the Walter Reed Housing Referral Office is listed on the downloadable PDF file [see the other post in this group]. The majority of the rooms on the list are owned and managed by private landlords.

For further information, please contact Mr. Jimmy Price at the Housing Referral Office,

(202) 782-3118, E-mail: rosemary.moore@na.amedd.army.mil
Mr. Price or Ms. Moore can verify recent complaints against a landlord.

AFIP Washington DC Housing Advice - Perfect for the Radiology Resident looking for Housing!

Silver Spring is close to Walter Reed, has a terrific Arts and Entertainment Center, wonderful ethnic restaurants and is convenient to DC and Baltimore. The Red Line Metro gives you access to DC within 15-20 minutes. Some of the residents have biked to Walter Reed from our cottage. Some have relied on public transport the entire time.
