100% Interventional IR – Academics

An IR is needed for this busy practice in an Academic Setting in North Carolina. The department has approximately 45 full time radiologists, with five IR’s. This is a replacement recruit. Call will be 1:5. They work out of a 950 bed hospital and in January 2012 they will be expanding to cover a hospital owned outpatient center. They have 10 residents and several fellowship programs. They are doing approximately 6,000 procedures a year. Salary is commensurate with experience, starting at 250k, 4 wks vacation, 4 wks CME. They have a comprehensive benefit package including pension plan.

Central Georgia

Join a group of radiologists covering two hospitals and an imaging center. Perform a full range of general diagnostic radiology including a share of mammo. Ideal candidate is either MSK, Cross Sectional or Breast Imaging fellowship trained (no Neuroradiology available). Must be comfortable reading 100-120 studies/day. No evening call required with one weekend a month. Option to make an additional 50k by adding week night call shifts if desired. Nighthawk is in place at 11pm. 300k, 8 weeks off, health and malpractice.

Northern Indiana

Multi-specialty clinic of 99 physicians seeks a full service radiologist to join their department of four. Need is due to two members are going part time. Work out of one location but they currently cover nine locations in the area with a joint venture cancer care center. Though they strongly prefer fellowship training, this is a true general position as a lot of general work is required daily due to the practice being in a clinic setting. Must be proficient in all modalities including MRI, Breast and Breast procedures. The radiologists work M-F with no night or weekend call required. 350k, 10 weeks vacation, up to $8,500 relocation, 1 week cme with $2,500 stipend, malpractice, health. Partnership in 1 year earning in the 500’s.

Atlanta Area Radiology

Georgia group seeks another full service Radiologist. Candidate must have at least 1 year post residency/fellowship work experience and be proficient and current in all modalities including mammo, CT, MR, US, PET/CT, basic procedures. Based in a 77 bed community hospital just outside of Atlanta. Call will be 1:3 going to 1:4 with nighthawk at 10pm. 300k, 6 weeks off, 25k associated for health and malpractice.

IR Near Raleigh NC

Hospital based practice of five Interventional Radiologists seeks another. Expect 30-50% IR to start. This group currently covers a two hospitals and two hospital owned imaging centers. All the physicians in the group are fellowship trained in IR but do general diagnostics as well including mammo and mammo procedures. New IR must partake in mammo and will assist you to become MQSA if needed. Volume is approx. 180,000 studies and has been servicing the hospital for 13 years. Call is 1:6 with nighthawk at 8pm. Must go in to the hospital on the weekend and then finish up at home. First year salary will be 300-325k depending on experience with an increase in year two. Full benefits including 8 weeks vacation to start and 10 at partner level. Partnership after 2nd year (somewhat negotiable for experienced candidate). Partners are still earning in the top 10% in the nation.
