Academic Radiologist with focus on Cardiothoracic Research The Department of Radiology at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine is seeking a senior level Academic Radiologist with expertise in all aspects of Cardiothoracic Imaging and Research. The primary responsibilities of this position include: 1) 60-80% time focused on conducting and directing extramurally supported research programs in cardiothoracic imaging 2) 20-40% time in clinical activities 3) Provide leadership and direction to the University of Iowa’s Institute of Biomedical Imaging. 4) Establish and direct the Radiology Quantitative Imaging Laboratory for both clinical and research purposes 5) Provide input and leadership to a multidisciplinary group of cardiothoracic imaging clinicians and researchers Required: o Detailed knowledge of the current cardiothoracic imaging technologies, clinical best practices and research o Applicants must have at least four years of residency training in Radiology. o Board certification with special expertise and experience in cardiothoracic imaging o Experience with cardiothoracic clinical imaging trials. o A record of teaching effectiveness and previous record of directing the work of doctoral candidates, fellows or residents.
