As far as I know, the KVM switch is a bridge between two monitor cables. I'm not aware that there is any processing going on that would alter the monitor calibration/look up tables.
We can check the calibration once the switch is in place.
In terms of medical device certification, we have already purchased the equipment and it has been certified by the FDA to whatever extent it's going to be. Are you suggesting that there could be legal implications that would follow after reading a case from this setup? Although people talk about it in the PACS/medical informatics community, I am yet to come across a case where monitor calibration has come into question.
We have 8 PACS workstations connected to this PACS and there is no documentation stored on the server which records which workstation a cases was interpreted from or whether the monitors were properly calibrated at the time the case was interpreted.
