I studied much time the CT brian enhancement--but it is still confusing me..
hemorrhage is easy but
1-tumours and associated edema...
2-do tumors appear always in same pattern of enhancement in CT
Tumors enhance differently depending on time... generally malignant tumors demonstrate heterogeneous enhancement and can also demonstrate nodular enhancement (astrocytoma) and areas of hypointensity correlate with cystic or necrotic components. Not always same pattern and enhancement is always a sign of vascular permeability increase, inflammation or presence of tumor.
