Director of Imaging Services Job @ Norton Healthcare, Louisville, KY

The Director of Imaging Services is responsible for planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating and managing the department of Imaging Services to ensure the best possible patient experience is provided according to established policies and procedures. Other responsibilities include staff productivity, and the development, interpretation and implementation of budgets and long range plans for efficient operations and technology.

This position will be accountable for the accomplishment of results and the achievement of objectives, consistent with the hospital's mission, values and operational and strategic plans and will work closely with the radiologists that provide services to the hospital.

A minimum of an associate's degree is required. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Radiology, Business, or related field and/or with a graduate degree will be given strong preference. Candidates must have a current registry or eligible for registry in Kentucky as a radiographic technologist, nuclear medicine technologist or registry in a related imaging modality.

Experience as the director of a radiology department in a hospital or two to four years of experience as an assistant director (number two position) in a larger/more complex organization and five years in healthcare is preferred. Previous experience in radiography and with an understanding of all modalities preferred. Understanding of how RIS is utilized to enhance efficiency and productivity is preferred.

A demonstrated track record as an effective manager with a participatory style; should be a mentor, coordinator, delegator, developer and coach. Experience in managing programs and staff to enhance quality, control costs, keep a customer focus and effectively lead a group of managers and clinical staff
