Breast imaging fellowship position is a one year position at Lahey Clinic. Currently accepting applications starting with academic year 2012 -2013. Applicants may also apply for the academic years to follow.
One year fellowship position will provide comprehensive training in all aspects of breast imaging including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast Ultrasound, breast MRI, breast molecular imaging, PET/CT. Special attention will be paid to all advanced breast imaging techniques. Advanced expertise will be gained in all related interventional procedures including stereotactic, ultrasound, MRI and mammography guided interventions. Direct involvement in the weekly breast tumor conference is a component of the training which adds depth and breadth of pathology and treatment correlation with the imaging findings. Educational and research activities are strongly encouraged and supported with academic time provided for these activities. Over 38,000 mammograms performed a year provide screening and diagnostic case work.
In addition to comprehensive breast training, fellow will also function as a part time general radiologist allowing for maintenance of skills in general radiology. The part-time attending status has associated part-time attending level salary and benefits.
Fellows will have academic appointment at Tuft's University.
Majority of the fellow's time is spent at Lahey Clinic's main campus located in Burlington, Massachusetts within 30 minutes of historic Boston and Cambridge. Thus there is great diversity to living choices available including beautiful suburbs or more metropolitan setting as desired. The fellow will have the opportunity to participate in breast care at Lahey Clinic 'sPeabody campus on occasion as well.
