Job Posting: Roth Capital Partners seeking an MD

Roth Capital Partners is a boutique investment bank in Orange County, CA. The Equity Research Division currently has over 40 senior analyst and research associates covering 14 industry sectors; and the coverage universe includes approximately 200 emerging growth companies with market capitalization of between $100 million - $1 billion. The average market cap is approximately $500 million. The healthcare team currently covers biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, and Medical device sector.

We are seeking an MD for the biotech research associate position to support the senior equity analyst. The position is responsible for company due diligence, preparation of research reports and financial models, attending medical conferences, and communication with company management and investors,

A qualified candidate would have an MD degree. He/She should have either finished his/her residency, or have some experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, consulting or financial service experience. Being comfortable with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint is a must. Financial modeling experience is a plus, but not required.

On the soft skill side, team player is a must – the firm and Research teams have a great culture and we value that as part of our core competence. The candidate should be a good writer and excellent in communication with the management teams and investors. Willing to relocate the southern California is a prerequisite.

The position will be given much room to grow, and there will be plenty of flexibility for you to stand out. So we are looking for a self-starter with lots of motivation to establish himself.
