ESR Molecular Imaging Grant

This is to announce the availability of a molecular imaging scholarship grant sponsored through the European Society of Radiology (ESR). This scholarship is provided by the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, through an NCI R 25 training grant.

The scholarship starts at January 1, 2009 at the Department of Radiology of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, USA, under the chairmanship of Professor Hedvig Hricak and is for a period of 2 years. The scholarship grant for training in molecular imaging depends on the scholar's years of postgraduate training and starts at US$ 46,000 per year.

Training programme:

The training programme emphasises the development of molecular imaging for oncology, and includes didactic training. The focus of the training is on relevant molecular biology and research methodology coursework, instruction in advanced imaging methods, and an individualised research programme. Individual research will focus on basic, translational, or clinical interdisciplinary research and experience in advanced methods of nuclear, radiographic, optical, and magnetic resonance imaging/spectroscopy.
