Connecting Radiology | Enabling collaboration and professional development

I just joined radRonds - and I don't know if I'll be back. There seems to be no internal control for fraudulent or mischievous logins. I can create a membership for Mickey Mouse and add to his profile that he graduated from Harvard Medical School in two years.

How can you expect to draw serious inquiries from outside sources or vendors without some way of confirming that Mickey is actually a board certified radiologist?

This site has promise, but it needs some work. Good luck. I hope it all works out. I'll keep my eye on it.

Dear Greg, Thanks for the feedback.

We definitely are aware of this issue and it is one of our primary objectives to deploy a verification system. Stay tuned for that as we are working closely with a technology vendor specializing in ID verification in the medical space to establish a system to address exactly what you are talking about.

This system will be similar to Sermo's system where they take in provider information and cross match it with multiple public databases.

But please bear with us through our growing phase---we ARE DEFINITELY addressing this issue soon. Keep an eye out for us. In the future, if Mickey did finish Harvard in 2 years and is a board certified radiologist, then our system will not allow him to register. We will also be rolling out other features including some cool bullet-proof privacy features. Stay tuned for that.

Thanks for the input.
