Event Description

A disaster occurs somewhere in the world almost daily. But to people, radiographers included, a disaster is an unusual event. Despite the increase in awareness with recent events, the relative infrequency of major catastrophes leads to a certain degree of complacency and underestimation of the impact. But if the event happens “in your backyard” what are the consequences for you and your health care system? Spend the day with Nancy Adams and learn about the challenges associated with forensics and the role of the radiographer in teams that are engaged to make a difference in the catastrophe.
