MEETING DESCRIPTION:
This advanced course is designed for those who have been practicing noninvasive vascular diagnosis. The course will assume that participants have an understanding of anatomy of the vascular system, principles of Doppler ultrasound and the basic principles of Doppler diagnosis.

The course will begin with hemodynamics, pathophysiology, and state-of-the-art Doppler instrumentation.

The majority of the course will focus on interpretation of vascular studies and case analysis of cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial, peripheral venous and abdominal Doppler studies. The course will also include some of the more unusual findings in vascular disease. Informal question and answer sessions will be incorporated throughout the program to facilitate a high level interactivity between participants and faculty. Course participants are invited to bring their interesting or challenging cases.

For those with minimal or no prior experience with vascular technology, we recommend the core course on Vascular Imaging and Doppler.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this two day course the participant should be able to:

- identify the key information required in a vascular study
- compose a report of a vascular study
- describe the components of a vascular report
- demonstrate improved case interpretation ability

INSTRUCTORS:
Needleman
