MEETING DESCRIPTION:
This symposium will focus on cardiac MRI from a diagnostica and clinical perspective. Didactic sessions will include an explanation of appropriate clinical indications, details on image acquisition, and tips on post-processing analysis. Numerous case presentations will focus on examples of cardiac pathology that are readily diagnosed with cardiac MRI. When appropriate, comparisons will be made with other imaging modalities.

Educational Objectives

Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:

- Recognize the MR appearance of normal cardiac anatomy, congenital abnormalities and common pathology.
- Implement appropriate imaging protocols for cardiac MRI procedures into clical practice.
- Assess the benefits and pitfalls of cardiac MRI in the evaluation of cardiac pathology.
- Discuss advanced and future applications of cardiac MRI
