Ultrasound 2011: Guidelines & Controversies
May 13 - 15

Course Purpose:

This 3 day course is designed to highlight current controversies (and recommended guidelines for their management) confronted by radiologists interested in GI, GU, Vascular and small parts ultrasound. Information regarding technique and imaging findings will be presented in traditional didactic format and in informal case sessions/"imaging rounds". The nationally recognized faculty are accessible for informal sessions, to answer questions and to help participants with problem areas in ultrasound. The course will take place in a beautiful hotel conveniently located next to the sights of our nation's capital. Afternoons and evening are your own to explore Washington D.C.

Course Objectives:
At the completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

• Review utility of state-of-the-art ultrasound for diagnosis of vascular, GI and GU diseases.
• Emphasize the unique role of ultrasound for small parts (scrotal, thyroid, parathyroid) imaging.
• Review consensus guidelines for management of adnexal lesions, thyroid nodule biopsy and thyroid carcinoma imaging surveillance.
• Review the potential roles of 3D ultrasound and ultrasound contrast.

Target Audience:

This course is intended for all radiologists, radiology residents, abdominal imaging fellows and other allied health care providers with an interest in GI, GU, vascular and small parts ultrasound.

The International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation Statement:

The International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. designates this live activity for a maximum of 16.5 AMA PRA Category 1™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Registration
FEES:

The fee for Breast Imaging & Interventional Update in the Capital (Friday - Sunday, May 13 - 15, 2011) is $795 for physicians if your registration is postmarked by April 13, 2011. After that date, the fee is $850.

For Residents/Fellows the fee is $695 or $750 if your registration is postmarked after April 13, 2011.

For Retired and Military the fee is $695 or $750 if your registration is postmarked after April 13, 2011.

For Technologist/Allied Health Prof. the fee is $595 or $650 if you registration is postmarked after April 13, 2011.

A letter of verification from the Department Chairman must accompany the application of anyone wishing to qualify for the reduced rate. Enrollment will be confirmed on the basis of registration fee. We do not process registration without payment. We cannot guarantee course materials on site for a registration received after April 13, 2011.

REFUNDS: Cancellations received in writing by April 13, 2011, will receive a refund minus a $75 handling fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after that time.

REGISTRATION: Registration will take place on Friday at 7:00 a.m. in the foyer of the hotel.

PLEASE NOTE: You will receive registration confirmation via regular mail from the International Institute of Continuing Medical Education, Inc. approximately two weeks after your registration is received. Sorry, we are unable to confirm your registration by fax or email.
