Event Description

This hands-on ultrasound guided regional anesthesia course is planned in accordance with the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management (ASRA) guidelines and ACEP ultrasound guidelines for core (procedural) applications.  The ultrasound-guided anesthesia training course is designed for medical professionals seeking to integrate ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia techniques for surgery, pain management, or procedural applications such as fracture reduction.

The hands-on training for ultrasound-guided nerve blocks combines a comprehensive review of ultrasound fundamentals, upper and lower extremity sonographic nerve anatomy, and ultrasound guidance techniques.  Specialty break-out groups for emergency medicine nerve block applications is also included in this hands-on workshop.  Extensive, small group hands-on training is provided featuring live models plus, inanimate phantoms for a realistic training experience.
