The 3 R’s: Radiology, Ropes and Risks

Join AHEC for this popular course designed to provide you with knowledge of some of the ethical and legal issues that may confront the radiographer in everyday practice. The course begins with a review of the current ASRT Radiography Standards of Practice. You will be provided with case scenarios regarding practice, and will participate by identifying those actions that adhere to the standards and those that do not. Next will be need to know information and discussions on the ARRT Rules of Ethics, Informed Consent, Contrast Media and associated risks, and finally Patient Radiation Dose. You will enjoy this new interactive course which will allow you to participate in solving case scenarios related to each specific topic throughout the day. Legal and ethical consequences are intertwined throughout each topic.
