MEETING DESCRIPTION:
Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
Providing quality mammographic exams requires skill and knowledge beyond positioning and technique! The stereotactic core biopsy is both fast and accurate. There is a 100% correlation between stereotactic biopsies and surgical biopsies in the diagnosis of two early stage conditions, atypical ductal hyperplasia (ADH) and ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). This new course examines the procedure and explains imaging theory, techniques, equipment, and why the procedure is available at 1,200 hospitals, clinics, and breast centers in the United States.
