PET/CT and SPECT/CT: Theory, Practice and Clinical Experience

Course Description
The course provides theoretical, technical and clinical information about the basic biologic needs for the functional and anatomical imaging offered by PET/CT and SPECT/CT, the emergence of these modalities, their specific clinical applications in diagnosis, evaluation of therapy and early detection of recurrence of malignant tumors and a glimpse about the emerging molecular imaging.
Course Objectives
The objectives of the course are to make the audience familiar with the Basic Principles, the Methodology, the Indications and the Normal Patterns of PET/CT and SPECT/CT and to further Familiarize the audience with the most frequent Abnormal Patterns specific to Body Regions and Tumor Identity.
Target Audience
The target audience are Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine specialists, who want to attend a complete and upgraded theoretical and practical review of the topics of PET/CT and SPECT/CT and to familiarize themselves with the normal and the abnormal studies.
