The course will equip you with the tools and techniques that help you achieve greater confidence and accuracy in your interpretation skills in peripheral vascular ultrasound. It was designed to maximize your time away by focusing on the normal versus abnormal vascular scans in a small group setting that will include lecture, case study presentations and interpretation sessions. The course topics will include the factors that help you optimize the Doppler examination, review of the artifacts that can affect diagnostic accuracy, characterize and correlate formation, and spectral Doppler and color flow imaging analysis.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this course the participant will be able to:

• Identify normal peripheral vascular anatomy on a duplex scan
• Identify normal waveform characteristics on a duplex scan
• Identify normal characteristics of an extremity physiologic exam
• Complete the interpretation and structure a report for a peripheral vascular exam
