MEETING DESCRIPTION:
Course Description

This CME Activity is intended to provide the target audience with an overview of the latest offerings in the cancer imaging arena from a multidisciplinary approach. PET/CT imaging and its current role of cancer detection, management and surveillance will be discussed. Common cancers and their latest imaging techniques will be reviewed. Selected topics in latest cancer treatments developed with imaging guidance and interventional techniques will be presented.

Target Audience

This CME activity is intended for the practicing radiologist, radiation oncologist, oncologist, or any physician involved in cancer patient treatment and management.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, attendees should be able to:
1. Discuss the role of PET/CT in the management of cancer
2. Describe the latest imaging pathway for breast cancer detection and surveillance
3. Describe the latest gastrointestinal and biliary malignancy imaging and
interventional techniques
4. Describe the latest imaging and imaging guided interventions for solid visceral
malignancies
5. Understand the role of anatomic pathways of tumor invasion within the head and
neck region
6. Review the imaging pathway for common pediatric solid visceral tumors
7. Understand the important role imaging plays in surgical approach to
musculoskeletal tumors
8. Know the latest common tumor treatments and interventions developed with
imaging guidance
