Mt. Sinai Update 2011: Breast Imaging - Held at The New York Academy of Medicine
October 10 - 12

Course Description
This CME program is designed to cover clinical aspects of breast imaging including conventional and digital mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and interventional procedures, as well as medicolegal issues. The faculty consists of nine nationally and internationally recognized experts. The program of lectures and panel discussions will be filled with “take home” information that should benefit every breast imaging practice.

Course Objectives
At the completion of the course, the participant should be able to:

1. Discuss the latest ACR BI-RADS terminology for breast abnormalities seen on mammography, ultrasound, and MRI.
2. Develop a systematic approach to the assessment of calcifications, masses and asymmetries seen on mammography.
3. Appreciate the latest technologic developments in digital mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI.
4. Understand the evolving role of ultrasound and MRI in screening, problem solving, and staging.
5. Reduce their risk of false negative interpretation and malpractice litigation.

Target Audience
This course is designed for radiologists who interpret breast imaging studies and perform breast interventional procedures. Physicians in other specialties involved with the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases, medical physicists, mammography technologists, breast center administrators, and other health care professionals will also benefit from this course.

ACCREDITATION:

The International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

DESIGNATION:

The International Institute for Continuing Medical Education, Inc., designates this live activity for a maximum of 19.25 AMA PRA Category 1 credits TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Within the 19.25 hours there are 3.25hrs dedicated to Breast MRI, 4.5hrs dedicated to Breast Ultrasound, and .75 hrs dedicated to Digital Mammography.

FEES:

For Mt. Sinai Update 2011: Breast Imaging (Monday - Wednesday, October 10 - 12, 2011), the fee for physicians is $950 for registrations postmarked by September 10. After that date, the fee is $995. For Residents, Fellows, Retired or Military Physicians the fee is $850 before or $895 after September 10. Technologists, Nurses, or Allied Health Personnel, the fee is $750 before or $795 after September 10.

For Both Courses, the fee for physicians is $1900 for registrations postmarked by September 10 or $1990 thereafter; for Residents, Fellows, Retired or Military Physicians, the fee is $1700 before or $1790 after September 10. Technologists, Nurses, or Allied Health Personnel, the fee is $1500 before or $1590 after September 10. Tuition includes all course materials (including a comprehensive syllabus) and daily refreshment breaks.

Enrollment is confirmed on the basis of receipt of registration fee. We do not process a registration without payment. We cannot guarantee the availability of course materials on site for registrations received less than one month before the first day of the meeting.



REFUNDS: Full refunds, less a $75 service charge, will be made to those presenting IICME, Inc. with written notification of cancellation by September 10, 2011. After that date, no refunds will be given.
