As a mammographer you have to compassionately deal with newly diagnosed patients. Mammographers can benefit from a patient navigator’s skills to provide exceptional care.
This eight hour focuses on developing your skills, and will begin with the basics: proper positioning techniques for breast cancer detection, identifying mammography artifacts, and discussing patient’s new norm after a breast cancer diagnosis. Round out the day focusing on understanding the disease process and defining a patient navigator. Mammography: Positioning, Diagnosis, and Navigation will leave you feeling confident when performing mammography and communicating with the newly to a patient.
