You will cover every aspect of a mammography procedure required to meet initial training requirements as outlined by MQSA . The topics cov-ered will include anatomy and physiology, hands-on positioning lab, film critique sessions and clinical participation. Quality control, pathology, special procedures and imaging the augmented breast are a must for the new mammography technologist and will be cov-ered in detail as highlights in this class. The instructional material provided is a great resource once you return to the workplace.
This practical approach to learning mammography is applicable to all technologists performing mammography. Professional liability in-surance is provided for on-site clinical rotations. Clinical dress codes apply for the clinical rotations. ARRT certification and/or a fully unre-stricted state license are required for admission to the training. Registration must be received at three weeks in advance for Option 2 to assure clinical rotation sites.
