Description:
The “Golden Hour” is one of the pillars of emergency medicine. Every minute lost can be a life lost. When you need ultrasound and there is no time to waste; it is not the time to “learn on the job”. Be better able to visualize ultrasound images by boosting your understanding of imaging perspectives and recognition of anatomical orientation. Having the skills to perform focused evaluation of the abdomen, ultrasound evaluation of the trauma patient (the FAST procedure), 1st trimester pregnancy and cardiac ultrasound scans may make the difference! Participants in this course will benefit from “hands-on scan labs” where you will interact with an Emergency Medicine Physician who will teach you the essential skill and technique to acquire an ultrasound image to make a quick and accurate diagnosis.
Advanced Health Education Center, Ltd. has taught this course for physicians in the US, China, and South America for a number of years. The course content is based on the ACEP guidelines for the performance on Emergency Medicine Ultrasound and the course faculty are Emergency Department physicians and RDMS, RVT, RDCS sonographers.
