Diagnostic ultrasound is safe, accurate and cost effective. Point of care applications put rapid diagnosis at your fingertips. The focus of this three day course is to provide participants with the “need to know” information to perform an abdominal ultrasound according to AIUM guidelines. The course begins with the basic techniques involved in an abdominal ultrasound examination and general use of the device. Normal anatomy of the liver, gall bladder, kidneys, spleen, abdominal vessels, and pancreas will be discussed. Also included are soft tissue applications, abdominal Doppler and the FAST scan.
