Event Description

Neuroimaging includes use of various techniques to either directly or indirectly image the structure/function/pharmacology of the brain.  It is a relatively new discipline within medicine and neuro science psychology and provides a new perspective on techniques and methods being used ito investigate the criminal mind.  With the availability of these neuroimaging techniques, researchers have begun to localize brain areas that may be dysfunctional in offenders who are aggressive and violent. This one of a kind course will begins with an introduction into the evolution of neuroimaging and psychiatry to set the stage for modern imaging methods.  You will also explore what neuroscience tells us about evil and the age old question “Are criminal minds born or made?”  Register early; this isn’t your everyday CE learning experience!
