This conference is designed for vascular and ultrasound technologists, nurses and physicians interested in ultrasound cerebral hemodynamics.The program will provide the basic background to perform and interpret transcranial Doppler exams. The didactic sessions will include clinical applications and case studies followed by intense afternoon scanning sessions on live models. Participant-to-instructor scanning ratio never exceeds 3:1.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the program, the participant should be able to:
1. Demonstrate standard scan techniques for TCD and TCI exams.
2. Recognize normal and abnormal intracranial Doppler spectral waveform characteristics.
3. Apply diagnostic criteria for TCD/TCI interpretation.
4. State the clinical applications and limitations of TCD / TCI examinations.
5. Increase knowledge and confidence to integrate the skills learned in a clinical setting, ideally under supervised conditions until and accepted level of proficiency has been achieved.

Physicians, sonographers and other medical professionals who are at entry level of performing and/or interpreting TCD/TCI examinations.
