MEETING DESCRIPTION:
Course Objectives: At the completion of the program the participant should be able to:

1. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform routine scan protocols for the FAST exam, extended FAST, focused echo, abdominal imaging, venous imaging for DVT, and vascular access procedures.
2. Obtain a record of examinations performed to assist with hospital credentialing.
3. Improve proficiency with system optimization.
4. Increase knowledge and confidence to perform and/or interpret emergency medicine or critical care ultrasound examinations.
5. Apply the information discussed in a clinical setting, under supervised conditions until an accepted level of proficiency has been achieved.
6. Optional Objective: To increase knowledge and confidence to perform routine scan protocols for performing GYN ultrasound examinations.

- FAST
- Extended FAST applications
- Focused abdominal imaging
- Focused cardiac ultrasound
- Focused venous imaging for DVT
- Vascular access
- GYN ultrasound (optional ½ day session)
