For clinicians and physicians from all specialties and experience. You'll learn the complete ICAVL recommended protocols for all aspects of peripheral vascular imaging, including:
- DVT
- superficial and deep venous valvular incompetence
- lower extremity arterial occlusive disease
- graft and stent assessment
- false aneurysm and fistula
- AAA and dissection (from the root to he pelvis)
- renal and celiac/mesenteric vascular stenosis
- Baker's cyst
- vascular access.
We'll practice the protocols repeatedly in the scan lab and explain each part of each step, along with the clinical processes behind each one. After regular class hours the scan lab remains open around the clock for you to practice independently, on yourself or your peers in class.
Class is small, permitting us to identify and respond to your individual needs at every step. Every question you have about vascular testing, hemodynamics, or physics is going to be answered. Graduates of formal ultrasound programs attend to better understand the clinical relationship of these tests, in preparation for the CCI, ARDMS, and ACR certification exams.
Emergency and critical care physicians find the hands-on focus powerfully effective in mastering the machine for their needs.
