For clinicians and physicians from all specialties and experience. You'll learn the complete ICAVL sanctioned protocols for all aspects of peripheral vascular imaging, including: carotid and vertebral arterial disease (including IMT), DVT, Baker's cyst, venous valvular incompetence, arterial obstruction, graft and stent assessment, renal vascular disease, and vascular access.
We'll practice the protocols repeatedly in the Scan Lab and explain each step, with the clinical implications underlying each each one. After regular class hours the Scan Lab remains open around the clock for you to practice independently, on yourself or with your peers in class. Class is small, permitting us to identify and respond to your individual needs at every step. Every question you have about vascular testing, hemodynamics, or physics is going to be answered. Even graduates of formal ultrasound programs attend to better understand the clinical relationship of these tests, in preparation for the CCI, ARDMS, and ACR certification exams. Emergency and critical care physicians find that the hands-on focus is powerfully effective in mastering vascular ultrasound for their needs.
