MEETING DESCRIPTION:
Registered Vascular Technologists (RVTs) are in demand! Reimbursement for vascular studies in many states requires a Registered Vascular Technologist be involved in the study. Accreditation in vascular sonography reflects the importance of the knowledge, skills, and experience of the technologist and physician performing and interpreting vascular studies. These real time images of the circulatory system help the ultrasound practitioner monitor the blood flow to organs and tissues throughout the body. Come and discover the techniques used for ultrasound and color Doppler to visualize venous and arterial tissue structures. Learn how to optimize major Doppler controls to improve the images acquired. Understanding how to examine blood vessels using the Doppler phenomenon to study the speed and volume of blood flow is the first step towards acquiring your RVT. This is the course for you if you are getting ready to take your registry or are getting started or cross training into vascular ultrasound.
